Lancaster Brewery is one of the largest micro breweries in the North West of England. It originally began in a tired old shed located on the outskirts of Lancaster, the brewery grew rapidly and reached production capacity in 2009. After two years of fundraising, they expanded the brewery and moved to new premises located on Lancaster Leisure Park. The new site offered them enormous possibilities, which they fully embraced. The brewery kit was designed and engineered bespoke to their exacting specifications allowing them to brew beer to a quality and standard rarely seen amongst micro breweries. Furthermore, the installation of their own milling machinery, meant they could actually mill the malted barley on premises. Starting life as a very simple, primitive brewery located in the old Lancaster shed, it is now a modern, energy efficient and much larger brewery situated in a large building with almost an acre of outside space and a large Tap House drinking den. The entire project from conception to completion took almost three years.
