Our Producer Kate, is particularly excited about this venue as we finish our Summer touring period in her home town of Bournemouth, in a venue with is particularly cherished by the local community. Shelley Theatre is full of history and character, and a short walk to the beautiful Bournemouth beaches, we feel it's the perfect stop to complete our summer leg of Rossini’s famous farcical comedy Il Barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville). We are sure the audiences here will love this production!

Accessibility note:
The venue is wheelchair accessible with ramps and floor surfaces of varying quality with an equipped WC facility. We have two wheelchair spaces and accompanying seats that must be booked by phone or in person. Rows A to F are on a flat surface.

Shelley Theatre, Bournemouth

Built in 1870, our theatre was the private abode and performing home to the world famous Shelleys, a theatrical and literary dynasty from the 19th century. After a period of alternate use and recent purchase by the present owners, we are currently restoring the theatre to its former glory as a charitable trust. With a full year round performance and film programme, facilities include a 160 seat auditorium and bar at this unique venue a stones-throw from Bournemouth beaches!
