William Smith

Tenor

William took his undergraduate degree at the Birmingham Conservatoire. On completing his degree he moved to Paris to train with Glenn Chambers. He is now based in London and studies with David Pollard. Whilst in Paris William co-founded the performing group “Theatre de L’eneide” which has performed regular shows in Paris and has appeared several times on Radio France. Recent solo work has included various recitals and opera galas in England and France. Oratorio work includes Handel’s “Messiah”, Mendelssohn’s “Elijah”, Haydn’s “The Creation” And Bach’s “St Matthew Passion”. William is looking forward to his debut as Belmonte with Popup Opera in their 2015 season.
