Born in Rotherham, Tom is a Yorkshire baritone. He is delighted to be performing with Pop-up Opera for the first time. Tom read music and theology at the University of Durham before training at the RNCM. He now lives in London and studies with Graeme Danby. He is currently participating in Opera Works, a professional development programme with English National Opera.
Operatic highlights include Einstein Fart, For the Love of Thornstein Shiver (Helios Formations 2016), Guccio, Gianni Schicchi (Opera Holland Park); Giacomo, Giovanna d’Arco (Hashtag Opera); Forester, The Cunning Little Vixen (Co-Opera Co.); Ambrogio and Fiorello Young Artist 2014, Il barbiere di Sivilglia (Opera Holland Park); Sacristan, Tosca (Dublin Lyric Opera); Ned Keene, Peter Grimes (Elemental Opera); Lorenzo, I Capuletti e I Montecchi (Opera Undone); Michele, Il Tabarro, The Imperial Commissioner and Prince Yamadori, Madam Butterfly and Pish Tush, The Mikado (Co-Opera Co.) and Common Person, It Makes No Difference (Tête-à-Tête Opera Festival).
Recent performances include a gala concert with Lesley Garret in her home town of Doncaster and oratorio performances in Sheffield, Blackburn, Luton and Bury St Edmunds including works by Bach, Saint-Saëns, Mozart, Haydn, Duruflé and Puccini.
