Richard Immerglück received his BMus (Hons.) at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Robert Dean. At Grange Park Opera roles included the Imperial Commissionaire and cover Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, cover Ceprano in Rigoletto; also appearing in The Love of Three Oranges as a ‘Ridicule’. He has recently been performing the roles of Papagano in The Magic Flute and Belcore in l’Elisir d’Amore on UK tours and Leporello in Don Giovanni for the Olivier award winning director Robin Norton Hale with OperaUpClose. Other roles include Sid Albert Herring, the title roles in The Barber of Seville and Le Nozze di Figaro, Earl of Essex Merrie England, Marullo Rigoletto, Frank Die Fledermaus and Spineloccio Gianni Schicchi.
Recent recitals include the Mozart Requiem and Pergolesi Magnificat with the Surrey Festival choir in Guildford Cathedral and the Vaughan Williams Fantasia on Christmas Carols with Atherstone Choral Society. Other recitals include Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennell, a tribute to Rodgers and Hammerstein and Christmas concerts with the Atherstone Choral Society, a number of opera gala concerts in London and the South West and a unique English song recital at Somerset House. He also regularly performs opera workshops in schools around the country promoting opera to younger generations.
