Laïla Barnat is a London-based accompanist, répétiteur & French coach. She is regularly invited at the Royal Opera House for the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme, at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & the Morley College Opera School in London as well as for productions and courses around Europe. She was trained in the UK (National Opera Studio, Britten Pears Young Artists Programme and Royal College of Music -London with Roger Vignoles & Simon Lepper); in Spain (Opera Studio Plácido Domingo in Valencia), Italy (Solti Accademia) and will be part of the Mozart Academy of the 2014 Festival d'Aix-en-Provence in France. She worked with Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Alberto Zedda, Patrick Fournillier and Richard Bonynge. She performed in Europe (Wigmore Hall, London ; Teatro dell'Opera, Rome...) , America (Kennedy Millenium Stage, Washington, in a tour of the USA & Mexico organized by the Alliance Française...) & Asia (Shanghai World Expo 2010...). She received the "Fondation Safran pour la Musique" prize as well as the Alasdair Graham award for accompanist & the Roderick Brydon Memorial Trust Award for répétiteur and was finalist of the Wigmore Hall International Song Competition together with Gavan Ring (2nd Prize). This summer, she will be a French coach & pianist at the International Summer course José Martí, Spain and for Massenet's Don Quichotte for the Danish National Opera. From September she will be part of the International Opera Studio in Zurich Opernhaus.
