Isabelle Kettle

Stage Director

Originally from London, Isabelle is pursuing an MFA in Theatre Directing at Columbia University School of the Arts under the tutelage of Anne Bogart. She has also co-founded Footfall Theatre, a London based company dedicated to exploring gender and the female voice on stage. Previous projects include adaptations of Shakespeare's 'King Lear', Chekhov’s ‘Three Sisters’ and Angela Carter's feminist short story collection 'The Bloody Chamber’. Most recently she has directed Anne Carson’s translation of ‘Antigone’ and ‘Manar', a new play by Melis Aker. Since moving to New York, Isabelle has developed her interest in interdisciplinary work that creates unexpected theatrical experiences, and is therefore very excited to be working with Popup Opera this summer.
