Eve Daniell

Soprano

Canadian/British soprano Eve Daniell is part of the Royal Academy Opera at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with Elizabeth Ritchie and Gareth Hancock. She holds a BMus with distinction from the University of Victoria, an ARCT Piano Performance diploma and an ARCT Voice Performance diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music – the latter earning her the 2009 Gold Medal for achieving the highest marks in North America.

Performance credits include Nella in Gianni Schicchi and Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica (Kerley/Robinson) for the Royal Academy Opera, Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan tutte with Pop Up Opera, Witch and Mother in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel with Pacific Opera Victoria’s Young Artist Program and Sorceress in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas (Albery/Mallon) with Opera on the Avalon. Eve is part of the Royal Academy of Music Song Circle and is sponsored by the Josephine Baker Trust. She has appeared as a soloist in the Royal Academy of Music/Kohn Foundation Bach Cantata series, on the Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor (APHC Baltic Cruise 2014), with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra, Victoria Bach Ensemble, and with the Barton Turf Choral Society singing excerpts of the Pergolesi Stabat Mater with countertenor James Bowman.

Upcoming performances include singing Lady Dunmow in Berkeley’s A Dinner Engagement for the Royal Academy Opera (Evans/Hancock). Eve’s studies are generously supported by the Leon and Thea Koerner Foundation, the British Columbia Arts Council, the Maria Callas Award, the Sainsbury Award and the Catherine Osborne Scholarship.
